Stanley's Story
Life
My commercial airline career began in New Mexico, (after an Army tour with the 101st Airborne in Viet Nam) a regional airline based in Las Cruces, New Mexico and the predecessor
of what is now Mesa Air Group out of Phoenix. I served as Vice President of Operations overseeing the passenger and cargo divisions,
aircraft and crew scheduling along with charter operations. In addition, I served as a government designated FAA
examiner, check aviator, during this period for the airline.
I moved into commercial aircraft sales in 1980 when he joined Raytheon Aircraft Company (formerly Beech Aircraft) based in Wichita, Kansas. I served
as a demonstration pilot and led the marketing and sales efforts for the aircraft sales to air carriers, private and
corporate clients. While in the position as Regional Sales Manager, I oversaw the financing and leasing
arrangements, negotiated contracts, analyzed route structures, markets, aircraft performance and aircraft fleet
projections for future development.
In 1986, I joined Fokker Aircraft Company as a Sales Director for North America where I led the sales efforts of the
high-valued commercial aircraft, marketing and selling to major commercial airlines, such as Delta, Northwest,
United, Continental, Alaska, Midwest Express and Hawaiian Airlines. Regional airlines included most aligned
carriers such Atlantic Southeast, Mesa Air Group, Comair and to key freight and lease customers such as UPS, FEDEX,
International Lease Finance Corporation, GATX and Atlas Airlines. My responsibilities extended to Deputy to the
President in 1994 where I oversaw North American...Expand for more
Operations consisting of a staff of 85 persons, developed business
opportunities, objectives and corporate marketing plans and oversaw financing strategies for the customer and the
firm to optimize corporate margins.
My aviation career was broadened to the complete value chain of aircraft engines when he joined Rolls Royce in 1995 as
Director of Customer Business for Airline Sales and Marketing. I directed a business unit of 20 individuals
overseeing major customers relative to long-term relationships, customer support, spare parts, contract issues, new
business and the aftermarket. My successful campaigns brought $2 billion in aircraft engine sales and services from major
airlines and leasing companies in a five-year period.
I integrated e-Business solutions into my porfolio when I joined the Society of International
Telecommunications as Regional Sales Director-North America in 2001. I organized the global business development,
product marketing and engineering teams to provide design solutions for extensive back-end technologies, implementing
an aggregate of applications and alliances within maintenance and repair and overhaul all directed to supply chain
management and excellence, inventory control, forecasting and program management issues.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Mansfield University and has attended professional training courses at
Harvard University, Mercuri International London, PRIME Resource Group, Miller Heiman, and Huthwaite Research Group
Limited. I also hold an Airline Transport Pilot Rating and certificate along with flight instructor certificatesk and sea plane.
